At NAS Dubai we are committed to helping families make the best choice for their children. We realise that choosing the right school for your child is one of the most important decisions you will make.

Entry Requirements

At Nord Anglia International School Dubai, we have created a strong, nurturing private school environment, featuring students from many different cultures.

Our students are selected based on their manners and character, as well as their ability to cope with a highly academic environment. We will ask your child to sit some tests to learn more about them, either here or online.

We pride ourselves on getting to know students and parents when you apply. Our Principal and admissions team will meet with you to learn more about your child's previous education, experiences and talk to your current school wherever possible.

As an international school we understand that a facility with languages is vital in the modern world. We teach in English; however, we offer the opportunity to study a wide range of languages from an early age. Arabic, Chinese Mandarin, German, French and Spanish are all offered to students as part of their school day.

We aim to place students amongst groups of a similar age. Moving between school systems isn't always straightforward, so we'll discuss the right group for your child with you beforehand.

We cannot confirm admission for any student if we have not received satisfactory school reports and a recommendation form from their current school.

Please note that giving false information or not fully disclosing information will disqualify your application.

How to Apply

We will work with you each step of the way to make sure you make the right choices for your child. We have worked to make our application process as easy as possible for you, but some steps may change depending on your circumstances.

The stages to follow are:

  • Contact us for an initial conversation.
  • Complete an application form.
  • Submit the application form along with a AED 525 non-refundable application fee and your supporting documentation (see below).
  • We will then contact you to arrange an onsite assessment or a remote assessment at your current school. If you are in Dubai or visiting we would also like to arrange a meeting with the Head of School.
  • If you are applying for Year 7 or Year 9 your child will be required to sit a formal entrance exam. If you are in Dubai or the UAE you will be asked to attend an assessment date at the school.
  • If applying to Year 10 we shall schedule an interview either in person or by Skype. This is essential before a place can be offered.
  • Submit school reports and the recommendation form from your current school.
  • Your application and assessment will be reviewed by the Admissions Committee and Head of School and you shall be notified of our decision.
  • Once a place is offered you will need to pay the deposit within 7 days of receiving an offer letter.

Before your child's first day at school, we will offer a comprehensive orientation program where you will be able to meet your child’s teacher and ask any outstanding questions to make sure your child settles in quickly and happily.
