Welcome to Langley Park School for Girls (LPGS). We are a high achieving non-selective girls’ comprehensive school in South East London (Beckenham) that has a mixed Sixth Form. We are highly ambitious for all our students to achieve extremely well. Results in the past 5 years have seen LPGS consistently perform in the top schools in Bromley and in 2022 we achieved a P8 score of +0.65.

Students and staff enjoy positive relationships and student conduct is very good. In November 2022, Ofsted said “Pupils are polite, kind and respectful to one another. They have strong professional relationships with their teachers”. Staff often comment that the reason they enjoy working here is because they can focus on our core purpose of facilitating engaging learning experiences.

Academic success is possible because the learning experience, and the relationships forged enable our students to become confident young people who have the skills, attributes and confidence to navigate higher education and beyond.

LPGS is a vibrant community to attend as a student or work as a colleague with a wide variety of extra-curricular clubs, educational trips and the responsibility of shaping their school through many varied student leadership opportunities and an active student council.

Vision and Ethos
Our aim is to empower our young people to transform their lives and those of others. Our school is a happy school whose mission is to promote a love of learning. Our core beliefs are:

  • Respect for the individual.
  • Equality of opportunity.
  • Pursuit of excellence.
  • Contribution to the community.

LPGS is a safe, caring, supportive and inclusive school in which academic success is guaranteed. Our curriculum and co-curriculum are designed to develop individual flair, creativity, talent and personality, alongside a sense of belonging, commitment to community and development of leadership skills for all.

We want our school to be at the very centre of our community and to play an important part in fostering a stronger community spirit in the locality. As well as our local community we also want our students to understand and be part of our national and global communities. We want them to think globally and act locally; embracing, valuing, respecting, and celebrating difference
