Every student, day or boarder, is a member of a Boarding Homethat provides a sense of belonging and identity to all its members. There are many staff in each Homeand extra support in the academic and pastoral development of students in that Home.
The Home is much, much more than a physical building! It is the family that provides the opportunities, support and challenge to help all NLCS Jeju students to be happy and successful. Positive, lifelong relationships are made in Homes that serve students during and beyond their time at NLCS Jeju.
At NLCS Jeju every week is completely different. There are so many opportunities for students to test themselves both academically, in lessons, and personally through our unmatched co-curricular programme.
Our boarders follow regular routines whilst in the Boarding Homes and we recognise that they can sometimes take a bit of time to understand and become habitual. The routines are designed to ensure that our students make the most of their time at NLCS Jeju and that there is a healthy, balanced lifestyle for all our boarders. Routines merge both Korean, British, and International cultures into something that makes us all proud, content and feel a sense of belonging.
We hope to ensure that students are confident and comfortable enough to take advantage of these opportunities by providing this structured routine.
Boarding is at the heart of NLCS Jeju and our aim is to create a home from home for all of our boarders. There are eightHomes catering for students from Year 3 to Year 13. Each Home is for either boys or girls - with the exception of Darangswi which is for boys and girls in Years 3 - 6.
The Boarding Home is where students sleep, work and live but, moreover, is a caring, vibrant and cheerful environment, which will enable each boarder to achieve their potential. This is where they will form their most long-lasting relationships, with peers and staff alike. It is their anchor and their base as they move through the school.
Each Boarding Homeis its own community managed by a team of passionate, professional and dedicated staff.
