Since our inception in 1919, Calrossy has had Boarding at its heart and soul, with a focus on learning, growing and serving.

Today Calrossy takes advantage of our history and the 100 years of experience in providing a supporting, purposeful and adaptable environment where young women and men are supported in pursuing a wholistic education experience whilst achieving their individual goals.

With just under one-third of our Secondary students calling Calrossy home during the school term, Boarding is at the core of the school's Secondary operations. Calrossy prides itself on offering vast opportunities and proven Wellbeing structures for girls and boys across two boarding campuses.

Benefiting from its central North West location, Calrossy families are able to achieve a balance between accessing quality education and all the other opportunities which Tamworth and the region has to offer.

Boarding Life

Boarding life at Calrossy is a dynamic, supportive and inspiring environment, where individuals are made to feel valued. The Wellbeing, health and success of our students is a priority and we do this through a focus on learning, growing and serving to help shape confident and courageous young men and women.  These three areas are at the heart of Boarding Life. Calrossy has recently announced plans to a major redevelopment of our two Boarding campuses.

The redevelopment of our Boarding facilities for girls on our Brisbane Street Campus will provide for the changing needs of our future community and allow for refurbishment and expansion upon existing houses and resources. Plans are also underway for expanding Simpson House allowing for growth within our boys boarding community into the immediate future.

In addition to being conveniently located within close distance to all sporting and recreational facilities offered in Tamworth, Boarders also have access to the school facilities of swimming pools, tennis courts, library and computer labs and a rich programme for recreational activities is organised by the boarding staff for each area. Boarding staff also organise and facilitate the transport of our Boarders to their individual and team commitments within Tamworth.
