The Boarding School Advantage

Boarding gives you the chance to try new things, build amazing friendships, challenge yourself, gain independence, figure out what inspires you and discover all you can achieve when given the opportunity. If you are a day student considering WRA, you receive all the benefits of our community and culture as part of your school experience.

Learn what students, parents and advisors have to say about their journey with boarding.

Boarding at WRA is special for so many reasons. But when we ask our students why the school stands out, the most common answer is simple: Reserve is just nicer. While the campus is beautiful, the people are also kind, welcoming and compassionate. We have special traditions unique to our school that connect us with our history and unite us as a family and community today.

We have ten beautiful dorms on our campus which sits in the middle of safe and charming Hudson, Ohio. One of the best things about our dorms is their different vibes – from a boutique feel to historic, homey or modern. Your dorm head is a faculty member, always there to help and guide you.

Dorms

WRA has ten different dorms on campus, with a different style for every taste, from boutique to homey to historic. Faculty live in the dorms as house parents and 24/7 teachers.

Girls Dorms:

  • Cartwright House: Victorian, lush gardens
  • Carroll Cutler House: Homey, central
  • Ellsworth Hall (Ells 2 & 3): Bright, spacious, above the dining hall
  • Long House: Lovely, pristine, elegant

Boys Dorms:

  • The Athenaeum: Beautifully renovated, rich with tradition
  • Bicknell House: Classic, attached to the athletic center
  • Hobart House: Small and cozy
  • North Hall: Apartment-ish, on the Green
