The Bolles School Resident Life Program provides a unique and exciting educational environment at the School for both boarding and day students.
From attentive resident staff to caring faculty to hospitable local students and their families, Bolles boarding students enjoy an enriching educational and life experience in a safe and nurturing environment. All members of the Bolles community—from the students and faculty and parents—share a common spirit and expectation of success.
Bolles offers an atmosphere which encourages high academic achievement, a love of learning, concern for others, delight in creative expression and the satisfaction of accomplishment for all students. From academics to the arts to athletics, resident students embrace success along with their day student peers.
Dorm Villages
As a part of the Resident Life program, all boarders are grouped into villages headed by a member of the Resident Life staff. The Dorm Village program provides students with a small and cohesive setting. Dorm Villages celebrate birthdays together, meet periodically and have formal, family-style meals monthly.
Resident Hall Council/Junior Prefects
The Bolles School Resident Hall Council consists of student leaders who represent the interests of the students in the boarding program. This Council serves as the voice of the of the community. They also advocate for the needs of their peers and provide feedback to the Director of Resident Life. Council members facilitate and support quality programs and service events for the residents in the boarding community that match resident interest and needs.
Additionally, we have started the Junior Prefect program. The Junior Prefect program consists of one junior boy and one junior girl who will be mentored by our Senior Prefects. They will coordinate Dorm events, manage logistical tasks, and serve as the point of contact for new boarding students in their transition to Bolles.
