Boarding School

With nearly 330 students living in dormitories and campus housing, Montverde Academy attracts students from all over the world for a remarkably diverse student body. We live and breathe diversity as students will room with peers from all areas of the world. Our dormitories and homes have dorm parents who live with and serve as advisers to boarding students. Prefects (the highest honor for approximately 10 seniors who are selected by a thorough interview process) serve as role models to help younger students throughout their experience. The friends you meet and the dorm parents who support you in this home away from home become like family.

Our 125-acre campus, situated on Lake Florence, provides a variety of recreational and athletic activities for boarding students to enjoy right on campus. Campus is located 25 miles west of Orlando, which offers an incredible mixture of activities and entertainment opportunities. We plan trips to theme parks, entertainment centers, malls, sporting events, festivals, state parks and beaches, music and theatre venues, and more for students to enjoy. Our off-campus activities are driven by student recommendations and interests.

The boarding student experience here is fulfilling beyond academics, providing a comfortable and safe home away from home that helps students achieve their dreams.

Dining Hall

We know how important food variety and quality are to the residential life experience. Boarding and day students enjoy a wide selection of choices delicious food including dishes from around the world, prepared daily by talented professionals.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in the Martha Bedell dining hall. A hot buffet bar presents ethnic food, a full salad bar features fresh fruits, vegetables, cold cuts, and soup, and two freshly prepared lunch and dinner options are provided. The student center is open throughout the day, offering a variety of treats and snacks, and during the week, local food trucks provide an alternative for students to purchase lunch or treats.
