At Idyllwild Arts Academy, we are proud that our school is truly global. Slightly less than half of our students are international, and they come to us from dozens of different countries, united by their passion for artistic excellence.
We believe that no other high school in the United States does a better job than we do of preparing young people to find creative ways to meet the opportunities and challenges of an increasingly complex, interconnected global community.
The international parents who send their children to Idyllwild Arts Academy have made a wise choice. However, that choice is also a brave one. Most of our international parents will be separated from their children by great distances. These parents may know little about American education and culture, and, because they live too far away to visit our campus, they cannot learn about them firsthand.
One of the main purposes of my role as Coordinator of International Student Life is to help our international parents understand Idyllwild Arts Academy education specifically, and American education in general. This is particularly helpful for those parents who struggle to understand the English on our website.
