Boarding life at Bradfield is a natural extension of family life at home; our accommodation and pastoral care are of the highest standard and we are actively committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children at the College.
All pupils are under the care of a Housemaster or Housemistress, their day-to-day mentor and guide, who is responsible for looking after them throughout their time at the College.
In support of each Housemaster or Housemistress, there is a dedicated team of Matron, House Tutors and Academic Tutors.
After their first year in Faulkner’s, pupils move into their senior house, one of eleven senior houses at the College. There are four girls houses and seven boys houses.
After their first year in Faulkner’s, our girls move on to one of four senior girls houses – Palmer (I), Armstrong (J), Stevens (K) or Stanley (M).

Day pupils are treated as fully integrated members of the boarding houses and take full part in College life often staying well into the evenings depending on their commitments.
The normal school day is 8.00am to 6.00pm (Monday to Friday) and 8.00am to noon on Saturday. If they wish to, day pupils may stay at the College for their evening meal, followed by prep. Day pupils are expected to fulfil all College and co-curricular commitments (sport, drama, music, CCF etc.)
