Our international boarding school in Cadiz with students from Malaga, Marbella, Estepona, the rest of Andalusia and abroad is a warm and vibrant international community, with specialised staff that care about each student. Sotogrande International School (SIS) is making a significant investment into international boarding, by moving the SIS boarding students on to campus from September, into the brand new boarding provision named ‘Templeton House’. The new boarding residence will house 116 students, predominantly in twin accommodation, with four bed dorm rooms for junior boarders. The students will be spread across three floors and there will be six resident members of staff on site. Additionally, security guards will be present in the Boarding house during the night.
Templeton House has been designed with students at the centre of the decision making process and as such the clean, modern furnishings will allow them to be as comfortable as possible. The ensuite rooms will be climate-controlled, with wifi available throughout. The boarders will have access to incredible onsite facilities, namely: kitchen, social spaces, basketball courts, football pitches, athletics track, volleyball, badminton, sports centre, library and music rooms. The boarding students will also benefit from the boarding-exclusive evening opening hours of the Chiringuito Cafe and indoor swimming pool.

It is a hugely exciting, student-centred boarding project that will foster a great living environment alongside extra curricular and academic excellence. The students and boarding team cannot wait to move in”.

The boarding facilities are conveniently located only 30 minutes from Gibraltar, and 1 hour from both Malaga and Jerez airports.
Our dedicated onsite team aims to support and challenge each individual to reach their full potential. The Boarding House provides a safe, welcoming space in which students can be fully immersed in school-life. Students are encouraged to take part in every aspect of boarding life, helping them to grow and develop into happy, motivated and aspirational citizens.
Sotogrande International Boarding House is an incredibly rewarding and enriching environment in which to study and live. English is the commonly spoken language in the Boarding House, although as an international community with over 20 nationalities, we embrace every culture within the environment.
Full Boarding
Students who board full-time benefit not only from supervised study time and weekday activities, but also enjoy the full programme of weekend activities. During the week, boarders concentrate on their academic studies, as well as participating in a wide range of leisure and sporting activities. Weekends are a time for fun, with lots of opportunities to learn new skills, enjoy trips out and pursue interests.
Weekday Boarding
Weekday Boarding offers students the opportunity to experience the fun of boarding life as well as the extra, supported, study time Monday to Friday, while spending weekends at home with family and friends. This option is perfect for students who would normally have a long daily commute.
Flexi Boarding
Flexi-boarding is provided for working families, allowing students to stay, for example, just a few nights per week or a week or two each month. This is a great introduction to boarding life and particularly popular with parents who are regularly abroad.
