Applications are invited for a full-time permanent appointment as Lecturer Above the Bar in English (Long Eighteenth Century) at NUI Galway. The appointee will teach and research in the area of ‘the long Eighteenth Century’. They will also be expected to contribute to one or more of the following strategic development areas: gender/sexuality; book history; digital humanities. Applicants must hold a PhD in a relevant field and have experience in third-level teaching.
For this post we are seeking a colleague who will contribute to developing our curriculum in Eighteenth-Century Literature, and assist us in developing new programmes of teaching and research. Applicants are invited to demonstrate how they would enhance our existing undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, and how they would develop an innovative research agenda within English and across other disciplines if appropriate.
Appointments will be conditional on work authorization validation.
