As the Course Coordinator for the Adelaide Rural Clinical School (ARCS), you will be responsible for coordinating the Year 5 Anaesthetics and Pain and Intensive Care (APIC) Course students on Rural Placement.
The Adelaide Rural Clinical School (ARCS) Course Coordinator (Lecturer to Senior Lecturer) will be based in either Whyalla, Port Augusta, Port Lincoln, Barossa, Clare, Mount Barker, Port Pirie or Wallaroo (please indicate preferred site in your covering letter).
You will also contribute to a high proportion of the teaching of this course through online modules, Zoom tutorials and face-to-face clinical simulation sessions in the orientation and mid-year intensive weeks, as well as leading the medical student assessment in the APIC course in contribution with other members of the ARCS medical education team.
The Course Coordinator will take the lead in developing and coordinating ARCS clinical simulation program across ARC geographical footprint, including the roll-out of new simulation equipment and contribute to the broader ARCS agenda of recruiting, preparing and mentoring the next generation of rural health professionals. The ideal candidate will have a commitment to working with Aboriginal staff, student and health professionals to close the gap in health and educational outcomes.
