*Students in early years do not receive additional EAL support, but can join BSKL without being fluent in English. Students in Years 12 and 13 must be proficient in English. No seats for EAL students are available for Years 12 and 13.

Additional Fees

Application Stage

Parents need to complete an online application for each child. There is a non-refundable Application Fee of RM1,500 for each application. This fee covers the administrative and assessment costs associated with reviewing each student application.

Enrolment Stage

After the school offers a place to your child, you will be asked to formally accept. All parents must agree to our latest terms and conditions and pay a one-time Enrolment Fee of RM17,050 to secure their child's place in our school.

The enrolment fee is paid per family, regardless of the number of children. It is non-refundable, but a portion may be returned when a family provides a minimum of three months early notice before withdrawing from the school.

Tuition Fees

Please insert your child's date of birth in the box below to identify the year group they would enter and the tuition fees per year group.

Fees may be paid annually or termly and there is pre-pay discount for annual fee payment over the termly rate. All fees are in Ringgit Malaysia (RM).

Application Fee

An Application Fee of RM1,500 is payable with each application submitted. It is not refundable regardless of the outcome or withdrawal of application.

Enrolment Fee

The school requires an RM18,000 Enrolment Fee to be paid in order to confirm the placement of any child (1 fee per family). The enrolment fee is non-refundable.

Early Notice Payback

The school will provide an Early Notice Payback of RM3,850 to every family that provides a THREE MONTH written notice before the child is to be withdrawn from the school, assuming that all outstanding fees are paid and all text/library books are returned.

School Lunches

School lunches at BSKL are now optional and fees can be found on our website.

Bus Service

The school bus fee is payable directly to the bus service contractors. For full details on our bus service, list and price is available upon request.

School Uniform

All students are required to wear uniform to school. There is also a separate P.E. kit. All uniform sets and individual items can be purchased at the school shop.

Public Exams Fee

GCSE and A Level exam fees are set each year by the Exam Boards. Parents with children taking public exams will be invoiced individually.

Discounts

School fees can be paid annually or termly. If you opt to pay fees annually, you will receive a discounted rate on tuition fees. If you choose to pay termly, no discount will be applied.

Sibling Discount

Sibling discount of 5% for the third child onwards is given to families with three or more children enrolled in BSKL.

Online Credit/Debit Card (VISA and MASTERCARD only)

We have recently partnered with CardUp, an online payment platform that is convenient for you to make your credit card payment. CardUp, the credit card processing service provider, charges an additional processing fee of 1.55% for local credit cards or 3.3% for international credit cards. You can pay in-person at the school on the Upper Hill Campus with a cheque payable to "The British School of Kuala Lumpur Sdn Bhd".

In-Person at HSBC

Please visit your nearest HSBC bank branch to deposit your cash or cheque via the Cash Deposit Machine (CDM). Once done, please forward the deposit slip to [email protected] for our reference to identify your payment easily.
