School fees

In accordance with the Parent Contract, school fees are collected termly by Direct Debit or via School Fee Plan, where parents can spread their payments out to be made monthly.

Termly Payment: The annual tuition fee is divided equally across the three terms and is payable with other charges at the start of term.

Monthly Payment: For parents that would rather pay monthly, this can be arranged via a third-party company, School Fee Plan (SFP). At the start of each term SFP settle the fees and any extra charges in full with the School. They then collect these fees and charges from you on a monthly basis (each term spread over 4 monthly instalments), with a transaction fee for this service currently at 3.56%. Parents should note that this is a far lower interest rate than if fees were paid over the same period direct to the School. Childcare Vouchers: These vouchers can be used to pay for a wide range of childcare, including Little Lyons Nursery fees, before and after school care, holiday clubs and camps. Please note that childcare vouchers can only be used to pay for activities outside of normal school hours and on school premises so, unfortunately, we cannot accept them for trips, including residential trips. They can be used towards fees in Little Lyons Reception year up to the child’s fifth birthday e.g. if a child has their birthday in February, vouchers can be used towards the spring term fees.

We are registered with most childcare voucher providers. Should your provider require a reference number for the school, please contact accounts@johnlyon.org. If you are in the government’s Tax-Free Childcare scheme, you will find us under the name of ‘The John Lyon School’.
