DISCOUNTS FOR SIBLINGS

Registration Fee

Families will enjoy a discount on the published Registration Fee for their second and/or subsequent children's admission in the Academic Year provided that the first child is a full fee paying student at the point of the sibling/s' admission. The second and/or subsequent children must be on the fee structure as stated on this Fee Schedule and are not currently on any other discount or scholarship on the Registration Fee.

The discounts are as follows: 2nd child at 30% discount, 3rd child at 50% discount, 4th and subsequent child at 75% discount.

Tuition Fee

Families will enjoy 5% Discount on the published Tuition Fee for their second and subsequent children at Nexus International School Malaysia. The first child should be full paying students as the second and subsequent children. The second and subsequent children are on the fee structure as stated on this Fee Schedule and are not currently on any other discount or scholarship on the Tuition Fee.

Advanced Payment

3% Rebate On Tuition Fee

Students of Nexus International School Malaysia will be given a 3% rebate on the Tuition Fees for Term 2 and Term 3; provided that the annual Tuition Fee is paid in full on or before the first day of Term 1. For new students joining the school, the annual tuition fee (for 3 full terms) must be paid on or before the commencement of study in Term 1.

Should a student leave the School during or within the Academic Year; and provided that adequate written notice of withdrawal is served according to the terms and conditions governing withdrawal in the Enrolment Form, the prepaid Tuition Fee for the terms that the student will not be enrolled in will be refunded but the rebate granted at the beginning of academic year will be proportionately deducted from the prepaid Tuition Fee. For purpose of clarity, Tuition Fee paid in advance at the beginning of every term will not be pro-rated even if a child chooses to cease his studies or attend school in the middle of a term.

NOTE: The above fees are for admissions in academic year August to July ONLY. 

Boarding Fees

Please keep in mind that only learners age 9 and above (academic Year 5) are eligible to apply to stay in the Nexus Boarding House. We look forward to your application.

• For Boarders, the Boarding Fees are invoiced termly and payable upon commencement of each term (3 terms per academic year).
• The Boarding Fees include accommodation, meals and laundry.
• Siblings are entitled to a discount on the Boarding Fee. It is only applicable to siblings who are boarders in the school. A sibling is defined as a legal brother or sister of a child enrolled in the school and boarding.
  • 1st sibling (2nd born) at 10%.
  • 2nd and subsequent siblings (3rd born onwards) at 15%.
• Payment by cheque or bank draft should be made to Nexus International School Malaysia.

4. International Payment

Nexus International School Malaysia has partnered with Flywire to offer an innovative and streamlined way to make a payment from your home country. Founded by a former international student, Flywire’s mission is to save money for international students and their families, that would otherwise be lost on bank fees and unfavorable foreign exchange rates.

HOW TO MAKE A PAYMENT

1. Go to nexusmy.flywire.com, then choose your payment type and enter your payment amount and country of origin.

2. Select your preferred payment method from the options provided. Options may include bank transfer, debit/credit card in your home currency, or other local options

3. Then enter some basic information to initiate your payment booking.

4. Follow the instructions provided to send funds to Flywire.

• For bank transfers: Follow the instructions provided to send your funds. Depending on your bank, payment may be made online, in person, or over the phone.
• For debit/credit card payments: Enter your card details online to complete your payment in your home currency.

5. Track your payment via the tracking emails sent or by logging into your Flywire account at any time. Receive optional text updates each step of the way, including a confirmation when your payment has been delivered to your institution.

Withdrawal & Refund Policy

We at Nexus International School understand that there can be circumstances which will force a parent to withdraw their child from our school. Below are the terms of our Withdrawal & Refund Policy.

• A parent may withdraw the child from the School by giving the School ONE (1) full academic term’s notice, failing which the fee deposit SHALL be forfeited. The said notice shall set out the date of such withdrawal (‘Withdrawal Date’), failing which the same shall be deemed as insufficient notice. Please note that the notice of withdrawal must straddle ONE (1) FULL ACADEMIC TERM. In amplification hereof the following illustrations of what constitute insufficient notice:
  • If it is intended that the child will leave the School at the end of an academic term, notice of withdrawal must be received by the School not later than the end of the first day of the same academic term, failing which the deposit shall be forfeited.
  • If the child is withdrawn from the School prior to the Withdrawal Date.
  • If the notice of withdrawal does not set out the Withdrawal Date.
• Provisional or conditional notice of withdrawal is not accepted. If the child is not withdrawn from the School on the Withdrawal Date, a fresh notice of withdrawal of not less than ONE (1) full academic term must be received by the School. The provisions of this clause 10 will apply in the case of prolonged absence of the child from the School.
• All deposits paid under no circumstances be treated as payment of tuition fees or any part thereof and any other payments required to be paid and may not be used to set-off any amount due an payable by the parent. The parent shall pay such additional monies as are necessary to top up the deposit to maintain its equivalence to one term’s tuition fee on or before the commencement of the relevant academic term.
• All monies refundable under the conditions hereof shall be refunded free of interest and must be claimed by the parent within one (1) year from the date the child ceases to be a student of the School, failing which the parent consents and confirms that the School shall immediately and is hereby duly authorised to transfer the said monies into the School Improvement Fund, whereupon the parent shall have no claim in respect of such monies whatsoever. The School shall be entitled to utilise such monies in the School Improvement Fund as the School deems fit.
• Where a child has been withdrawn from the School and applies for re-admission, no registration fee will be payable if the child is re-admitted (subject to availability of place) with three (3) academic terms from the date the child left the School, the Application Fee, re-entry fee, tuition fee, deposit and other fees payable, all at then prevailing rate, are required to be paid prior to such re-admission.
• The School may require at any time the withdrawal of a child from the School for any reason at the discretion of the Head of School. Reasons may include matters related to the child’s inability to participate in or benefit fully from the School’s curriculum or if there is a breach by the parent or the child of any matters or things set out herein.
