School Fees

We are conscious of the cost of independent schooling and are dedicated to providing the best education through small class sizes, enthusiastic and skilled teachers and a wide-ranging co-curricular programme.

Ardvreck’s school fees are set annually and are as inclusive as possible. Any additional charges for clubs and trips will be notified to parents in advance. We know that some families need financial assistance of which more details can be found below. For more information please contact the bursar.

Nursery Fees

We are delighted to announce that the Nursery is open 49 weeks per year and works in partnership with Perth & Kinross Council to offer 1140 hours Early Years funded places over 36 specific weeks (detailed below for the academic year). The charge for funded sessions, between 8:40am and 3:00pm, is met by Perth & Kinross Council.

Term Time (Perth & Kinross Council funded hours):

The nursery is open from 8:10am to 6:00pm and childcare is available outside of funded hours at an additional charge, as follows:

  • Early Drop-Off (8:10am to 8:40am): £3.25 per day
  • After School Club (3:00pm to 6:00pm): £19.50 per day

Holiday Club Provision

Ardvreck Nursery will operate for a further 13 weeks of the year, offering Holiday Club when the emphasis will be on fun, fresh air and adventure. The Holiday Club day runs from 9:00am until 4:00pm. Holiday Club is charged at £38.50 per day, or £175.00 for a complete week (Monday to Friday).

Little Ardvreck

Little Ardvreck (5-7 year olds)

£3,350 per term (8.30am till 3.15pm)

After School Club – £19.50 per afternoon session
(3.15 pm till 6.00pm or part thereof)

Little Ardvreck Details

An acceptance deposit of £500 is payable when the offer of a place in Little Ardvreck (aged 5 onwards) is accepted. This will be credited to a pupil’s account on their final fee note, subject to any outstanding liability or charge.

Personal Accident Insurance Cover is added on each term’s account. The Questions and Answers and the Pupil Notice are available.

School Fees Refund Insurance is an optional charge.

Fees are payable on or before the first day of each term.

A full term’s notice of intention to withdraw a child from the school or from boarding is required in writing to the Bursar. Failing such notice, a full term’s fees must be paid in lieu.

Forms 1 to 6 Inclusive

7-13 Years Old

  • Boarders – £10,540 per term
  • Day Pupils – £7,020 per term
  • (Monday-Friday 8.30am till 6pm, Saturday 8.25am till 1pm)

Flexi Boarding*

  • Flexi 1 (one night) – £585 per term
  • Flexi 2 (two nights) – £1,130 per term
  • Flexi 3 (three nights) – £1,650 per term
  • Flexi 4 (four nights) – £2,110 per term
  • Flexi 5 (five nights) – £2,550 per term

*Flexi Boarding is available to all day pupils. The fees above will be added to the Day Pupil fee.

Further Fee Details

Ard Hoc (occasional) Boarding, (one night) is available to all Day Pupils at a rate of £65 per night. No discounts or bursaries apply to Ard Hoc Boarding.

Boarding fees include laundry and normal medical attention; fees for day pupils include lunch. Boarding and day fees include most necessary books and stationery.

  • Evening Meal (if not Boarding or at an evening activity) – £4.50 per evening
  • Music Lessons (full details from Director of Music) – £22 per lesson
  • Counselling Sessions – £45.00 per session (first session free)
  • Optional activities may incur an additional charge.

A full term’s notice is also required in writing to the Director of Music of the intention to terminate music lessons.

A non-refundable registration fee of £150 is payable upon application for admission to the school at all levels. Receipt of the registration fee records the name of the pupil on the Entry List but does not constitute an offer of a place at Ardvreck.

Financial Assistance

Fees are payable in advance and invoices must be settled on or before the first day of each term.
Monthly payment schemes are available such as School Fee Plan and parents can discuss this method of payment with the Bursar.
The school is willing to accept payment from a number of child voucher schemes. If you do not see the school listed with your provider please discuss the options with the Bursar.
Financial assistance towards payment of school fees at Ardvreck School can be given to pupils of families meeting the qualifying criteria.
Bursaries – means tested bursaries are available and the allocation of such bursaries is at the discretion of Finance Committee.
