At Hope Christian College our aim is to provide all the benefits of an independent College at an affordable price. We keep our fees as low as possible to make our College accessible, while striving to achieve excellence in every aspect of education delivery, encompassing the academic, social, emotional, spiritual and physical components.

Fees with No Hidden Extras

To make fee payment clear and simple, all compulsory College activities are included in a single fee for each student (uniform excluded). There are no surprises or unexpected extras during the year. Should you wish to compare fees with other schools, please ensure that you consider all their extra charges and costs (ie. camps, excursions, laptops, stationary, textbooks etc.)

Changes for for Health Care Card / Pension Concession Card 20% Please provide proof of eligibility as soon as possible as discounts will NOT be applied to prior Terms. Health Care Card discount was introduced in 2017 to assist families with incomes that make them ineligible for School Card Discount. Pension Concession card holders are now also eligible for Health Care Card fees where their income makes them ineligible for School Card Discount. As indicated in the 2019 fee schedule, only Health Care Cards with a classification that assess income will be accepted in. We strongly encourage families to discuss their eligibility with Finance staff if in doubt.

School Card Concession 40%: The eligibility criteria for School Card for independent school families remains similar to 2019, please remember you must make an application upon approval, your Fee Statement will be adjusted.

Early Payment Discount 5%: For fees paid in full for the whole year before the end of February, a discount of 5% of fees payable (after any other discounts) will be applied to the account. To ensure the Early Payment Discount is applied, full payment must be accompanied by email notification or an Early Payment Discount Notification form, available at the College Office.

Sibling Discounts: Significant sibling discounts including nil fees for the fourth & subsequent child are detailed in the fee table. Please note, that the minimal fee charged for your third child (60% discount off first child), includes items typically listed as additional at other schools ie personal laptops (year 6 to 12), camps (year 6 to 12), excursions, stationary and texts books etc.

Australian Defence Force Discount 5%. Australian Defence Force employees are eligible for a 5% discount after all other discounts have been applied.

To calculate your families total annual fees, add the amounts that correspond to your child’s year level, starting with the eldest child.

Financial Assistance, Fee Relief & Scholarships:

We welcome the opportunity to discuss fee assistance for families in financial need and/or who are experiencing abnormal or unexpected changes in circumstances. Special fee payment arrangements and fee relief can be applied for via a confidential Fee Relief Application Form, available from the Finance Department. Applications are to be made annually and assistance is determined at the College’s discretion based on individual circumstances. Applying early is recommended as there is a limit to the total fee relief offered each year. Scholarships are made available from time to time. Please contact the College for more information.

Referral Rebates:

Any enrolments which are a direct result of a referral from an existing family will attract a rebate of $100 per new family enrolment, deducted from the referring families fees. The newly enrolling family must provide a written referral from the existing family prior to enrolment. If there are two or more referring families, the rebate will be divided equally.

Application Fee and payment schedule:

A non-refundable Application Fee of $50 per enrolling student is required to lodge an Enrolment Application. Acceptance of an offer of enrolment is secured by a $100 College fee prepayment, credited to your fee account as fees in advance. Should the enrolment not commence, this payment will be refunded upon request if notification is given at least 2 terms prior to the commencement date.

Methods of Payment:

BPAY – Biller code and reference number can be found on Statement of Account.

Direct Debit/Credit – set up by you with your financial institution or Online (EFT) – Processed through your internet banking to our account BSB 065-137 Account 00127689. Please use your Family code as reference*.

Centrepay via Centrelink – details available from the College Office.

Automatic deduction from Credit/Debit Card – requires a signed authorisation to debit Credit/Debit card. In Person – the College Office will assist you with cash, cheque, money order or EFTPOS transactions.

Please bring your most recent transaction listing and or photo identification when paying in person.

*When making payment please provide your family “Code” as the reference to ensure your payment is processed promptly and allocated correctly. Your family code or Ref is located at the bottom left hand corner of your statement. To ensure privacy, receipts are emailed to the account holder for all payment types.

Payment Terms:

In January, the College will be billing fees in advance for the full year instead of on a term by term basis. Fees can still be paid up front, by Week 4 of each term or by fortnightly/monthly instalments. Fee Statements will be emailed out before the end of January and payment plans need to be set up as soon as possible once you receive your Fee Account.
