Payment of Fees

School fees are payable each term. These fees cover tuition, most excursions and stationery including the use of textbooks and consumable items. Stationery, books and other materials remain the property of the school.

Invoices for the full years fees are forwarded to families at the beginning of each year and a progress statement issued at the start of each term. Payments are due within 14 days from the start of each term unless a payment plan has been entered into or alternative (and operative) arrangements are made with the Business Manager. We expect all fee payments to be completed by the third week of January the following year (again, unless an acceptable arrangement has been agreed with the Business Manager.)

A fee verification and method of payment form will be sent to families each November and we ask that this form be returned to the school prior to the start of the new school year so any discounts applied for can be processed.

Horizon Christian School has partnered with FACTS Management Australia to help manage our tuition payment program. Families will be requested to sign up to the FACTS online portal to create a payment plan either by direct debit or Credit card

• Annual Payment by 8th February 2021 (Discount 6%)
• 4 Payments with last date for payment: (Discount 4%) February 15th, May 15th, August 15th, Nov 15th
• Monthly Payments on either 1st, 15th or last day of month
• Fortnightly Payments on Mondays, Wednesdays or Fridays
• Weekly Payments on Mondays, Wednesdays or Fridays
• Other Payments made in person at the school by cash/cheque/credit card/EFTPOS

All other payment arrangements will need to be discussed and approved by the Business manager.

Children are enrolled in the School on the understanding that parents have committed to pay all fees when they are due. As a small Christian community school we seek to keep fees as low as economically possible, so we do ask that fees are paid on time.

Please understand that you are responsible to comply with your chosen payment plan.

If, at any time, families are experiencing financial difficulty, they are encouraged to make an appointment with the Business Manager in order to seek a timely solution. Should a family’s decision for their children not to attend Horizon Christian School be solely financial related, we encourage them to contact the school to discuss their particular circumstances.

School Card Discount

The School Card discount is NOT automatic. At the beginning of each year you must apply to the Department of Education, Training & Employment (DETE) and receive official notification that you are eligible for the School card benefit, before the School can make concession. You can visit the DECS website for up-to-date information about School Card. 

Note that the information on the DECS website is updated each January. The tuition fee will be invoiced at the full rate until such time as official notification of eligibility is received by the School. Please contact the school for the appropriate Application Form and due dates for lodgement. The lodgement dates and Application Forms will not be available until the end of January. To assist themselves and the school, we urge families who believe they could qualify for school card to complete the appropriate application forms.
