George School is committed to meeting the full demonstrated financial need of all accepted students.

Scholarships and payment plans help families afford a George School education, and our financial aid program (roughly 25 percent of our annual operating budget) is among the most significant in the country. Financial help is also available for things like our equestrian program, books, and service trips.

To begin the financial aid application process, please visit School and Student Service for Financial Aid (SSS) and complete the Parent Financial Statement (PFS).

Worried About Qualifying?

Many families whose income falls in what is typically described as the “middle-income” range worry about not qualifying for tuition assistance. Anyone with this concern should know that George School is different. We have a strong track record of meeting and working with families at all income levels. In fact, at George School, we see it as part of our mission to do so.

If you are committed to investing in your child’s education but concerned about paying the full tuition amount, applying for financial aid will make you eligible for our middle-income scholarships. We are dedicated to making a George School education a reality for families just like yours. Here’s how to apply.

Merit Awards

At George School, our scholarship funds let us reward incoming students for demonstrating intelligence, optimism, curiosity, and leadership.

All students who meet the admission application deadline are considered for merit awards. No application is required. These awards range from $1,000 to $15,000 per year and renew annually.

Students who receive merit awards may also apply for financial aid.

Financial Aid

Our financial aid awards meet 100 percent of a family’s demonstrated need and do not include loans. This substantial financial commitment creates an environment in which students with widely varying life experiences can learn together (and from one another).

Families are encouraged to apply for aid if they think that the cost of attending George School is greater than their ability to pay. Students who are non-U.S. citizens may qualify for financial aid, but these funds are limited. Priority is given to families who apply by the deadlines.

We know that each family has a unique financial picture. If you would like to discuss your specific situation or have questions about deadlines or application materials, please contact:
