Stevenson is committed to helping make each student's education affordable. We know choosing an independent school is a major financial decision, and that's why we encourage all families who are interested in exploring financial assistance to apply. Applying for Financial Aid
We welcome applications requesting financial aid and ask that all applicants complete the steps below and meet all deadlines.
- Mark the "Requesting Financial Aid" box when you fill out your Inquiry form and/or your SAO (Standard Application Online).
- Look for an email from the Stevenson Financial Aid office outlining the steps of the tuition assistance application process.
- Create a Parents' Financial Statement (PFS) account at www.sssbynais.org. See deadlines below.
Upper Division
Comprehensive Fee for current year
The Comprehensive Fee includes:
All students:
- Tuition
- Science Laboratory Fees
- Art and Ceramics Fees
- Gym Services
- Field Trip Transportation
- Graduation
- Pirate Parent Club
- Student Activities - Weekend shuttle service to local areas and shopping
- Admission to all home athletic contests
- Student council activities
- Weekend activities organized by resident faculty
- Student publications including the newspaper (Tusitala), the literary magazine (Vailima), and copy of the annual full-color yearbook, Spyglass
- Student Accident Insurance ($100 deductible, subject to certain policy limitations)

Lower and Middle Division
Comprehensive Fee for current year
The Comprehensive Fee includes:
- Tuition
- Lunch
- Morning Drop-Off (as early as 7:30 a.m.)
- After-School Co-curricular Program (until 5:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. on Fridays): this faculty-led After-School Program for both Lower Division and Middle Division students offers dozens of workshops and activities, as well as faculty-supervised study time and office hours.
- After-School Sports (Middle Division)
- Textbooks and classroom supplies
- Art room fees
- Field trip transportation fees
- Student publications, including a full-color yearbook
- Student Accident Insurance ($100 deductible)
- Pirate Planner (for Middle Grade students and for all PK-8 families)

- Junior Camp
Stevenson currently offers enrolled Grade 1 - Grade 4 students complimentary Pirate Camp for our five week summer program, with the exception of a $100 materials fee each week beginning with the summer Junior Camp. Families have an additional option to enroll in enrichment programs available for a modest fee. Click here for more information.
