Westover is committed to enrolling a talented and diverse student body representing a broad range of backgrounds- racial, ethnic, geographic, and socioeconomic.

We recognize that not all families interested in Westover School may be able to afford the full cost of tuition. Financial assistance is available in the form of need-based aid and payment plans. Please note that Westover cannot guarantee funding to all applicants who qualify.

Please take some time to familiarize yourself with our policies and procedures below. Should you have any questions, please contact Emily Slomski, Financial Aid Coordinator.

Tuition Payment Options

Parents are required to choose one of the three payment plans listed below through Smart Tuition and indicate their choice of enrollment plans on the enrollment contracts:

Single Payment Plan

Payment to be received by July 15th of current year for the full year’s tuition. The Tuition Refund Plan (TRP) is optional for this payment plan. However, it is strongly suggested that families consider taking advantage of the TRP when choosing this payment plan. If a family decides to opt out of paying the TRP, they must sign and return our Waiver of Tuition Refund Plan form with their enrollment contracts.

Two Payment Plan

Payments to be made in two equal installments due July 15 and November 15th of current year. The Tuition Refund Plan is required for this payment option. A $50 Smart Tuition administrative fee will be added to the tuition account.

10-Payment Plan

Payments to be made in ten (10) equal installments, beginning July 15th of current year and ending April 15 of next year. The Tuition Refund Plan is required for this payment option. A $50 Smart Tuition administrative fee will be added to the tuition account.

Payments can be made via e-check or credit card through Smart Tuition online, over the phone or by mail, and can be set up as automatic electronic debit through your checking account or credit card. All families will be set up to receive emailed invoices. Payments can also be sent directly to the School by check or wire. Domestic families can wire payments through BankUnited and international families can wire payments using Flywire by peerTransfer.

This tuition provides a full-time Director of Global Programs, an international advisor, ongoing training and professional development of faculty and staff in support of international students, as well as special programs geared to the specific needs of international students, including ESL services. • Domestic students without health insurance and who live outside a 100-mile radius of Westover School may purchase health insurance through ISM
  • International students are required to either show proof of U.S.-based health insurance coverage or they must purchase health insurance through ISM.
  • It is the responsibility of each family to either show proof of U.S. based health insurance coverage to the School, or purchase health insurance through Independent School Management (ISM). ISM’s website is: isminc.com

The Tuition Refund Plan (TRP)

The fee is calculated as 2.2 percent of net tuition cost (tuition less financial aid) and is required for both the Two Payment and 10 Payment Plans (for single payment plan, enrollment in the TRP is optional, but families are strongly urged to take advantage of the TRP). Please note that this is a change from past policies. TRP will partially reimburse tuition (prepaid and due) in the event of absence or separation, after 14 days from the first day of classes, according to the terms described in the TRP enclosed brochure.

Textbooks

Westover asks families to purchase textbooks online at MBS Direct (mbsdirect.net). The MBS site opens in early August, and families are provided a list of textbooks to purchase for their child/children’s courses prior to the start of school. There are sometimes instances where textbooks may not be available through MBS and/or the teacher prefers to customize a book to use in class. These situations are handled by our Academic Office and will be billed to the student’s debit account when applicable. Estimated cost of textbooks is $800
