Tuition

Tuition for the current academic year is $65,800 for boarding students and $52,300 for day students. We understand that each family who considers Govs must find a balance between the value of education and the cost of tuition. We strongly believe that the cost of tuition should not deter you from considering our school. This year our financial aid program will help 112 families who are not able to meet the full cost of tuition on their own.

Financial Aid

In order to make the Govs experience a reality for as many students as possible, we are committed to a financial aid program that enables qualified students from all cultural, racial, and socio-economic groups to attend. The financial aid program, in short, allows us to enroll deserving students who may not otherwise be able to afford an independent school education.

For the current school year, we awarded more than $5.5 million in financial aid; approximately 28% of the student body received financial assistance.

Financial aid grants are awarded on the basis of a family’s demonstrated need. Financial need is defined as the difference between the cost of education and the expected family contribution, which is determined by taking into account income, assets, family size, indebtedness, parents'/guardians’ age, and necessary expenses. Allowances for taxes, medical expenses and allowable unusual expenses such as parents'/guardians’ educational expenses are subtracted from income to derive effective income. To help evaluate demonstrated need, we employ the nationally standardized system for analysis offered by the School and Student Services (SSS)
