Tabor Academy understands the financial considerations that families must make when thinking about independent school education. We are committed to helping families afford their decision to attend, though all families are expected to contribute financially towards the cost of a Tabor education.

About 36% of Tabor students receive demonstrated need-based financial aid. The policies and practices surrounding financial aid at Tabor create a balance between a family’s ability to pay and the enrollment and programmatic needs of the school, as guided by our mission. If you think you need financial aid, you should apply.

Admission applications are read without regard for a family’s ability to pay. Only in the final phase is the selection process “need aware” as the Admission Committee weighs its decision, considering the student’s overall academic and personal strengths against available funds.

Tabor will wait-list an applicant who qualifies for financial aid if we do not have both financial aid and a place available. Once an applicant who qualifies for financial aid has been wait-listed, both a place and financial aid must become available before that applicant will be taken off the wait-list.
