As a condition of membership in the Canadian Accredited Independent Schools, NJC is evaluated by peer CAIS institutions on a regular basis and must meet and exceed high standards in key areas including purpose, curriculum, academic and co-curricular programs, school and community, governance and fiduciary responsibility. CAIS membership also requires that the school be not-for-profit. Tuition is set on an annual basis to cover operating expenses and its strategic objectives are met through advancement activities.

Although we do not currently offer full tuition awards, we do have a number of tuition and travel bursaries designed to assist families in making NJC a reality. Thanks to generous members of our community supporting NJC’s advancement initiatives, every year, significant funds are awarded to families from the College’s general bursary funds. In addition, a number of prestigious named financial awards—bursaries and scholarships—are also available.
Neuchâtel Junior College employs the services of Apple Financial Services which independently analyzes the financial information provided by the family of a bursary applicant and determines the amount possible for the family to contribute toward educational expenses. Candidates must complete and submit the Financial Aid for Canadian Services (FACS) application form available from Apple Financial Services. FACS makes recommendations to NJC based on the information provided in the Parents' Financial Statement, allowing NJC to make decisions about the actual amounts of assistance offered. Applications for bursaries are reviewed separately from the admission process and have no impact on admission decisions.
