A Kents Hill education is an investment and the School is mindful of the sacrifices that families make to support their children in receiving the very best college-preparatory education possible. Kents Hill offers various payment plans and loan options to allow flexibility for families to invest in their children's futures. After reviewing this document, we hope that you will find that the opportunity for your child to attend Kents Hill is achievable.
Kents Hill requires a NON-REFUNDABLE ENROLLMENT DEPOSIT of $3,500 for all students to reserve space for the next school year. This will be applied to the student's tuition account.
Kents Hill School offers three different payment options. All payment plan options are administered through Smart Tuition.
Kents Hill School partners with Smart Tuition to manage the billing and collection of tuition. For more information on Smart Tuition, please go to parent.smarttuition.com or parent.smarttuition.com/faq.html
Enrollment deposits made by personal checks or wire transfers are preferred. For your convenience, payments by MasterCard, Visa, or American Express are accepted for enrollment deposits only. Enrollment deposit credit card payments may be made by visiting https://www.kentshill.org/admissions/your-kents-hill-school-investment
All tuition accounts must be paid in a timely manner. Invoices will be emailed to you through the Smart Tuition system indicating the amount owed depending upon which payment option you select. A late fee of $40 will be assessed to the account if payments are not made on time.
The tuition insurance plan is mandatory for all students unless the full year’s tuition and fees are paid in full by June 30. Families paying in full by June 30 will need to complete an opt-out form provided by the Business Office to receive credit. If a student permanently leaves the school during the academic year, our tuition insurance plan provides a prorated refund of the unused tuition under certain conditions. This fee will be listed on your enrollment agreement and payable with your first payment. The fee is 3.3% of tuition and fees less financial aid.
All students are required to have a comprehensive injury and sickness plan that is accepted by local providers. International students will be required to purchase their insurance through Kents Hill School. We will enroll students in the United HealthCare Student Resource Comprehensive Health Plan that meets these mandates of State and Federal law. It is a 10-month plan for August 15th of current year – June 15th of next year. International students will be billed for this insurance on their enrollment agreement.
If a student leaves or is dismissed from school, the family is still responsible for the full year of tuition and fees as signed and agreed on the enrollment contract.
As part of our commitment to helping qualified students and their families afford a Kents Hill education, the school offers need-based financial aid. Since the number of applications for financial aid exceeds the availability of funds, awards are made on a competitive basis to students of proven ability and achievement whose families demonstrate financial need. To be considered for financial aid, all students must have been accepted for admission or re-enrollment and must have their parent(s) or guardian(s) complete a financial aid application online at www.solutionsbysss.com. Please contact the Admissions Office or go to www.kentshill.org/admissions/your-kents-hill-school-investment. The best time to apply for financial aid is prior to December 15 for returning students and January 15 for new students. Applications received after this date are considered on a rolling basis, and funds go quickly. For specific questions about account balances, please contact the Kents Hill School Business Office at businessoffice@kentshill.org or call 1-207-685-1678
