Tuition

Tuition for the current academic year is $59,500 for a boarding student and $37,000 for a day student. The fee covers room, board, academic study, basic materials for courses, lab fees, field trips, tickets to cultural events, athletics (including ski passes) and programs and activities held on campus.

Books, All-School Trip fees, laundry fees, supplemental art supplies, spending money and travel fees are the responsibility of the family.

Financial Aid

Buxton is committed to empowering our students by creating opportunities for academic, personal and artistic growth. We use our financial aid platform to provide these opportunities to those students who would not otherwise be able to access them. Fifty percent of our student body currently receives financial aid.

The funding process begins in February, and consists of two key parts:

• Parents must submit a completed Parents’ Financial Statement (PFS), a current tax return and all schedules to the School & Student Services by NAIS portal
• Parents must also submit a formal written request to for financial aid to Buxton. This document can be mailed to our business address or email us. The request must include your specific circumstances and state how much you can afford to pay for tuition.

Together, these documents provide a basis for review by the financial aid committee. Financial aid decisions are made independently from admissions decisions.
