Notes on Fees and Charges

Boarding and Tuition
Fees are charged per term and cover curriculum tuition, meals (including lunch for day students), and participation in most School run activities. Additional charges for some activities, trips, events, transport, and some teaching materials will be notified to parents if they are over £20. Fees are payable by the first day of term.

Termly fees represent the overall cost of education and accommodation, averaged to an amount per term. There are 3 terms per year. For Year 13, the fees will be charges in two equal parts billed at Autumn Term and Spring Term. There will be no charge for Year 13 fees on the Summer Term bill.

Examination Fees
Examination Fees are not included in the tuition fees and will be charged separately. GSCE fees are typically £500 and IB Fees are £600.

Weekly Boarding
Regular boarding involving 3 - 5 nights per week is regarded as Weekly Boarding. Subject to availability, regular boarding of periods of 1 - 2 nights per week may be available, and will be charged as a proportion of the weekly boarding supplement. Please contact the School for further details.

Occasional Boarding
Occasional Boarding is useful for sleepovers with friends, or when parents are absent from home for short periods (subject to availability). Occasional boarders do not have a dedicated bed, and would not be expected to board regularly. The cost is £60 per night. If the School requests boarding due to a School activity, the charge will be £30 per night.

Sibling Discounts
These apply to siblings in the School at the same time. Third child 25%, subsequent children 50%.

Acceptance Deposit
On entering the School an Acceptance Deposit is payable. This is held for the duration of the student’s attendance, and the balance is returned when the student leaves after payment of any outstanding monies owed. A 50% discount applies to deposits for the second child, and no deposit is required for the third child. Deposits vary according to the point of entry. Where siblings attend the School, the smaller of the deposits is returned as each family member leaves.
