Tuition Fees & Payment Schedule
Tuition fees can be paid in full at the start of the academic year or in three instalments, payable in advance of each term. The re-enrolment fee for the academic year is due in before the end of Term 2 (March), with the first term’s payment required by June. Tuition fees do not include school lunches, transportation, educational trips, or extracurricular activities with external providers. Some extracurricular activities with external providers may incur additional charges. A 5% tuition fee discount is available for families choosing to pay the full year’s fees in a single payment at the time of acceptance (only applicable via bank transfer, cheque, or cash).
Application, Assessment & Deposit
For all new students an application fee of OMR 150 is required as a one-off, non-refundable payment upon submission of an application to Downe House Muscat. An assessment fee of OMR 200 applies to every applicant and is refundable only if a place is not offered. To secure a place, a non-refundable deposit of 40% of the first term’s fees must be paid within 10 working days of receiving an offer. This deposit is deducted from the first term’s fees, and failure to make the payment within the specified timeframe may result in the offer being withdrawn.
Sibling Discounts
A 5% discount is available for the third and subsequent child enrolling at Downe House Muscat. This discount is only applicable if payment is made by bank transfer, cheque, or cash.
Refund Policy
Refunds are processed in accordance with Ministry of Education (MoE) regulations. Tuition fee refunds are subject to specific conditions and timelines, with deductions based on the length of enrolment. Deposits are non-refundable, except in exceptional cases.
Fee Policy Notice
All fees are charged in OMR and have been approved by the Ministry of Education (MoE). Downe House Muscat’s school fees are reviewed annually and may be subject to MoE-approved adjustments. The school will endeavour to provide at least half a term’s notice of any changes. Payment of tuition fees confirms acceptance of the school’s terms and conditions. Please note that the information provided regarding tuition fees, payment schedules, deposits, discounts, and refunds represents our standard policy. However, it is subject to change and exceptions at the school’s discretion.
