Application fee:

This non-refundable fee of CHF 250 is payable upon submission of an application and covers the administrative cost of reviewing and processing a child’s file.

Registration fee:

This non-refundable fee of CHF 1’500 covers the administrative cost of completing your child’s enrolment. It is valid for re-entry to the school within one year of leaving. GES does not charge an annual administration fee.

Capital development fee:

The non-refundable capital development fee is used for the continual improvement and upgrading of the school environment. The payment is split as follows: CHF 2’000 at registration and a further CHF 2’000 after one year. It is valid for re-entry to the school within two years of leaving. Students wishing to re-enter the school are subject to the usual requirements for admission.

Tuition fee deposit:

The tuition deposit of CHF 3’000 is held by the school and refunded following the student’s final term under the condition that all fees are up to date and that equipment belonging to the school has been returned in good working order. When leaving the school, parents have the option to donate their tuition deposit to the GES Development Fund.

*Pre-school fees are charged according to the schedule for which a child is enrolled. Options are mornings only, mornings plus two afternoons (Tue/Thu), and mornings plus four afternoons (Mon/Tue/Thu/Fri). Please contact our Admissions team at admissions@geschool.ch for further information.

** Annual payment must be received in full by 27 June in order to qualify for this discount. Sibling discounts can be applied to early payments if conditions are met.

*** A monthly payment plan is available, upon request and in agreement with the Director General, for families paying the entirety of school fees privately. In such cases, a payment plan over 10 months will be set up with the school, via direct debit, no later than the 26th of each month in which payments are due. Sibling discounts can be applied to monthly payments if conditions are met.

Sibling discounts:

Discounts are available on tuition fees, upon request and in agreement with the Director General, for families with two or more children in school at the same time and who pay the entirety of school fees privately. In such cases, the following terms may apply:

• 5% discount on tuition fees for the first two children
• 10% discount on tuition fees for the third (youngest) child
• 15% discount for the fourth and more (youngest) child/children

Other fees which may be applicable:

• Sport and PE kit around CHF 85 depending on items chosen.
• Annual residential camp for Primary students (Year 2 to Year 6), depending on location and duration: CHF 250 to CHF 650. It is possible to pay these fees over a period of time to spread the cost. Please email the Finance team for further details.
• Residential trips for Secondary students, depending on location and duration: CHF 500 to CHF 850 per trip. It is possible to pay these fees over a period of time to spread the cost. Please email the Finance team for further details.
• External exam entries (GCSE, AS and A Level) – These fees must be paid in full before the examinations start (usually by 1 May).

Other optional services:

• Hot lunches: CHF 600 to CHF 2’990 per year, depending on the number of days per week for which a child is enrolled for this service. Prices are subject to inflation.
• School bus: CHF 3’600 to CHF 4’430 per year, depending on home address, or CHF 20 for a one-off ride.
• After school care (Primary): CHF 25 per hour (or termly packages are available).
• Ski camp or other optional residential trips: CHF 600-900.
• Off-site sports fixtures and tournaments: CHF 20 (some, such as skiing, may be more)
• Extra-curricular activities led by external teachers, as indicated on the enrolment form.
• Individual music lessons – precise costs available upon request from the music administrator.
