Registration Fees

Registration fees are payable at the time of initial registration at the LFID. A student is deemed to be registered only after the actual payment of these registration fees. The fees will not be refunded under any circumstances.

Amount payable

Students with French, Indian nationality and Overseas citizen of India (OCI): 3 300 euros Students from another country: 4 400 euros

Payment date: fee payable at the time of application for registration, in one lump sum.

Annual Tuition Fees

Fees for every term begun are payable in full. In case of any interruption of schooling during the term, the tuition fees for the term will not be refunded.

Insurance: 42 euros (to be charged at first term)

For Middle school students enrolled in the British International Section an additional annual fee of 1185 euros/year will be charged.

For High school students of European section an additional fee of 660 euros/year will be charged.

For High school students the registration fee for additional modern language from CNED (Distance education ) will be borne by the school for LVA and LVB except for LVC.

For High school students the registration fee for the Art & craft speciality taken from CNED will be paid by the school.

Examination fee

  • Premiere : 80 euros
  • Terminale :280 euros

Caution deposit for text books by cheque only

  • Middle school: 100 euros or 8000/-INR
  • And for High school: 150 euros or 12000/-INR Discounts / Rebates on tuition fees:

Large families: 25% reduction for the 4th child, 50% reduction for the 5th and later children (all children must be enrolled in LFID).

Dates for Payment

The payment of tuition fees are as follows:

*The term-wise payment schedule corresponds to the following periods:

  • Term 1: from 29th August (or beginning of the academic year) to the 31st December
  • Term 2: From 1st January to 30th April
  • Term 3: From 1st May to 30th June (or end of the academic year)

Re-Registration

An advance of 10% of the tuition fee is to be paid before the dates to guarantee the availability of a seat.

In case of failure to pay this advance, the LFID cannot guarantee the student the availability of a seat in a class that is appropriate to his / her level.

Monthly payments are possible. In that case, which remains exceptional, a specific request should be sent directly to the treasurer of the Student’s Parents Association, in charge of the financial management of the school. Monthly terms all over the academic year would then be agreed between the counterparts.

Provisions for Payment of Registration and Tuition Fees

  • The payment of fees should be in Euros or Indian Rupees in respective banking accounts.
  • Fees may also be paid in USD with a fixed rate commission of 7% for foreign exchange rate risk.
  • For payment in Indian Rupees, the chancery exchange rate (1) from the date that the invoice was issued will be applied.
    • The chancery exchange rate is the exchange rate fixed under the direction of the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry in France.
  • Cash payments are not accepted.

Payments are to be made

  • By French cheques or bank transfer in euros in favour of “Ecole française de Delhi”. All the bank fees are at the charge of the remitter, by selecting the option “OUR”.
  • By cheque in Indian Rupees in favour of “LYCEE FRANCAIS DE DELHI ”

Any expenses incurred by the LFID related in particular

  • to the absence of IBAN or BIC code specifications in the bank transfer application, or
  • to a commission to the issuer bank are to be paid by the families in question. The heading ‘Tuition Fees’ and the last name must both be mentioned on the bank transfer.

No new student will be allowed to begin class until registration fees are paid.
