Tuition And Fee

The cost of tuition covers the core instructional program. Expenses for but not limited to books, supplies, lunches, school transportation, school uniform, boarding (if applicable) and customized student interests such as after-school activities, sports or trips are not included in the Annual Tuition cost. The School will not make any deductions, omissions, or refunds for absence, suspension, or termination of enrollment, regardless of the reason or cause, whenever such reason or cause may occur.

Withdrawal and Refund

In the case that a Student will need to withdraw from the School, Parents of the Student are required to complete and sign on the Student Withdrawal Application Form and the Refund Request Form and submit them to the School Office in advance. Before the School Office receives the Student Withdrawal Application Form and the Refund Request Form signed and dated by the Student’s Parents, the absence of the Student from the School will not be regarded as withdrawal.

If a Student's Parent submits the signed Student Withdrawal Application Form and the Refund Request Form and withdraws the Student from the School at any date during the period from when the full annual tuition is paid to the day before the first school day of the school year, 60% of the full tuition paid for the school year will be refunded; 40% of the full tuition paid for the school year will be refunded if a Parent submits the signed Student Withdrawal Application Form and the Refund Request Form and withdraws the Student from the School at any date during the period from the first school day (inclusive) of the school year to November 8 (inclusive). No other refunds for early withdrawals can be considered after November 8. Refunds will be made within 30 business days after the Student’s last day at the School (the Student’s withdrawal date), provided that the School Office receives the completed and signed Student Withdrawal Application Form and the Refund Request Form in advance.

Leave of Absence

In the case that a Student wishes to suspend schooling for medical or family reasons, a completed Leave of Absence Petition should be signed by both Parents of the Student and submitted to the School Office. Once the Leave of Absence Petition is approved by the Head of Division, Director of Academic Programs and the Head of School, the Student will suspend all his/her coursework till the end of the School Year. No tuition will be refunded, but a place at the same grade level will be secured for the Student for the following school year. Different amounts of tuition credit will be considered depending on the approval date of the Leave of Absence Petition, but the tuition credit will never be calculated into the withdrawal refund: Specifically, 60% of the full tuition paid will be credited toward the total annual tuition fee amount for the following school year if a completed Leave of Absence Petition submitted by the Parents of the Student is approved by the School Office and the Student suspends his/her schooling till the end of the School Year from any date when the full annual tuition is paid, to November 8 (inclusive), 20% of the full tuition paid will be credited if a Leave of Absence Petition submitted by the Parents of the Student is approved by the School Office and the Student suspends his/her schooling till the end of the School Year from any date between November 9 and February 14 (inclusive) No tuition credit will be considered if a Leave of Absence Petition submitted by the Parents of the Student is approved by the School Office and the Student suspends his/her schooling after February 14. If the Student applies for the termination of leave of absence and formally completes the re-admission procedure before the end of the School Year, no tuition credit will be considered.

In the case that a Student does suspend schooling, the Enrollment Deposit (50,000 RMB) for school year  must be paid before February 22, and all remaining annual tuition must be paid before June 14. A Student who has overdue payment will be considered to have forfeited a place and any payment made will not be refunded. The place reserved for the Student should be for the same grade level. An assessment will be conducted to measure the Student’s academic fitness if the Student wishes to move on to a higher grade. The School reserves the right to determine the grade level as deemed most appropriate for his/her experience. The School will not be able to reserve a place for a Student if the Student does not come back in the following school year after the School Year with approved leave of absence, and will not consider any refund.
