Job Summary
As a Licensed Aircraft Engineer (LAE), you will perform maintenance tasks on Emirates aircraft in line with approved procedures, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. You’ll work within a skilled team of Engineers and Technicians to ensure reliability, airworthiness, and operational excellence.
In this role you will:
- Perform maintenance and servicing tasks in accordance with manufacturer documentation and safety regulations.
- Ensure personal licences and approvals are valid for assigned aircraft types.
- Manage off-aircraft tasks including spares handling, robberies, and hold items, ensuring full compliance and documentation.
- Conduct component changes and troubleshooting using approved manuals and tooling.
- Maintain rigorous safety standards, report deficiencies, and uphold excellent housekeeping practices.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management to identify and resolve operational issues.
- Complete detailed reports for service delays, incidents, and accidents.
- Oversee and review staff performance, ensuring SMART goal setting and development planning.
- Attend recurrent training to maintain compliance with CAR 145 requirements.
- Be available for deployment across Emirates operations, including AOG recovery, outsourced maintenance supervision, and aircraft acceptance.
Qualification
To be considered for the LAE role you must meet the following requirements:
Licensed Aircraft Engineer TE.03
- Degree/Honors (12+3) in Aeronautical, Mechanical, Avionics, Electronic, or Technical Engineering, or a Maintenance Engineering Licence.
- Minimum 10 years of Engineering experience, with 5+ years as certifying staff.
- Minimum of 2 aircraft type approvals with at least one of the Emirates aircraft types (A380, A350, or B777).
- Preferred GCAA, UK CAA or EASA license eligible for conversion.
Licensed Aircraft Engineer TE.02
- Degree/Honors (12+3) in Aeronautical, Mechanical, Avionics, Electronic, or Technical Engineering, or a Maintenance Engineering Licence.
- Minimum 8 years of Engineering experience, with 2+ years as certifying staff.
- Minimum of 2 aircraft type approvals with at least one of the Emirates aircraft types (A380, A350, or B777).
- Preferred GCAA, UK CAA or EASA license eligible for conversion.
