Job Summary
The Logistics Manager will plan, direct, or coordinate purchasing, warehousing, distribution, forecasting, customer service, or planning services. Manage logistics personnel and logistics systems and direct daily operations.
Responsibilities
- Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation and customer services
- Direct, optimize and coordinate full order cycle
- Liaise and negotiate with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers and consumers
- Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency
- Arrange warehouse, catalog goods, plan routes and process shipments
- Resolve any arising problems or complaints
- Supervise, coach and train warehouse workforce
- Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets
- Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements
- Comply with laws, regulations and ISO requirements
- Establish or monitor specific supply chain-based performance measurement systems
- Create policies or procedures for logistics activities
- Plan or implement material flow management systems to meet production requirements
- Participate in carrier management processes, such as selection, qualification, or performance evaluation.
Education & Experience
- Project management
- Financial acumen
- Knowledge of Channel distribution
- Vendor specific product knowledge
- Managerial skills and knowledge
- Supply chain management
- 8-10 years experience within logistics
- Relevant degree, diploma or certificate in logistics, supply chain, procurement or any other releant qualification
