Mallesh Tummala

I am a PhD holder currently working for University of Technology and Applied Sciences, Sultanate of Oman since October 2013 to till date. Prior to that, I have 10 years of teaching experience out of which 5 years I also worked as head of the department in a Postgraduate college. My doctoral dissertation was conducted in consultation with Professor P. Venkataiah, Dept. of Business Management, Osmania Univeristy, India. I conducted a study on customer satisfaction in select public and private sectors banks in which it was found out that the private sector banks have an edge over public sectors banks.

My 20 years of teaching experience has built my confidence and interest in teaching and I look forward to the opportunity to not only teach marketing courses but also other management related courses and work to develop new courses. During my tenure in India, I was dealing with MBA students and presently teaching all the levels from Diploma to Bachelors. Apart my teaching I got an opportunity to become OJT coordinator where I can strengthen the industrial relations. I am also part of self-assessment working groups in which we continuously work for the enhancement of quality in order to meet the accreditation requirements of the college. I am also responsible for student advising and continuous monitoring the performance of the students.
