Mathematics and Statistics Teacher

Job Summary

You will teach Mathematics and Statistics units in the Diploma programs but may also be required to teach on Standard Foundation and Intensive Program and other units offered by the College in future. This will be determined in accordance with your qualifications, areas of expertise and experience. Descriptions of these units may be found in the Handbook. You will also contribute to ongoing curriculum development and improvement of delivery of College programs. You will consistently monitor student progress; identifying and following-up with students at risk.

• Sound understanding of Mathematics and Statistics as demonstrated by qualifications and/or professional competency
• At least 2 years’ full time equivalent teaching experience in Mathematics and Statistics, including 2 years full time equivalent experience teaching students from a range of non-English speaking backgrounds in pathway programs and tertiary settings.
• Experience in curriculum development and related quality assurance processes especially in relation to assessment frameworks
• Experience in the use of online learning management system(s) and demonstrated integration of a range of learning technologies into a course or curriculum.
• Experience in administration of a unit or program as a subject lead, convenor or similar, providing guidance to and collaborating with other teaching and administrative staff.
