Miras International School opened its doors in 1999 and became the first international school in Kazakhstan authorized for all stages of the International Baccalaureate Programme (International Baccalaureate).

Miras International School opened its doors for the first students on September 2, 1999. Our school combines in the process of teaching and learning the wealthy traditions and experience of Kazakhstani school with the programmes and standards of the International Baccalaureate. On this foundation, here school alumni acquire solid knowledge and skills, become patriots and responsible citizens of the country, and gain high competitiveness needed for continuation of their learning at leading universities of Kazakhstan and the world. • Miras is the first school accredited by the Council of International School (CIS) and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) since 2004, which confirms correspondence to higher international standards.
• Miras is the first school in the capital authorized by the three International Baccalaureate Programmes – Primary Years Programme (IB PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP).
• Miras is the only school, which includes the French School ‘Charles de Gaulle -Miras’, accredited by the Ministry of Education of France; language of instruction – French.
