This was the vision of the late Sir Clive Bourne, who firmly believed that all children can succeed, regardless of background or circumstance. Founding Mossbourne Community Academy in 2004, Sir Clive Bourne made it his mission to provide the children of Hackney with a better school and higher standards. A route to attaining a higher level of education and achieving more in life.
That academy went on to redefine national expectations of what could be achieved in inner-city, non-selective education – from the two ‘Outstanding’ OFSTED judgments and headline-grabbing exam results, all the way through to the number of students gaining places at Oxbridge, MIT and other world-renowned universities. Today, Mossbourne Victoria Park Academy is one of four within the Mossbourne Federation, proudly continuing the Mossbourne tradition. An academy in which success is available to every student who is prepared to work for it.
