The Neotia University (TNU) was established vide the West Bengal State Government Act XXIII of 2014. Though TNU is relatively new in its present configuration, it has its antecedents in the 14 year old institution.

Most of the institutions of higher education still teach the subjects which were useful in 60s and 70s, while at TNU we are ensuring that education provided in contemporary to help the young work force of our country to remain relevant in future with their knowledge and skill. With this in mind we have brought in Robotic Engineering, Energy Engineering, and Bioinformatics within the reach of the students of Eastern India.

The University offers numerous modern amenities which make campus life greatly enjoyable and productive. With large and comfortable reading areas as well as niche corners for solo study, we provide students a home away from home. With a collection of nearly 25000 national and international books, we offer a high tech catalogue from which students can access a wide range of online books and journals.
Expert Librarians are available in person to help navigate our extensive collection of discipline specific literature, books, periodicals, project reports, online periodicals and question bank. Besides the central library, each department has their own fully equipped library as well.
The entire TNU campus is Wi-Fi enabled with 24x7 broadband connectivity. This helps students to easily access internet based information to complete their assignments and projects. The students can also stay connected to the outer social world, which makes their campus life greatly enjoyable and productive.
Spacious and innovative designed classrooms and seminar room, with internet connectivity, interactive boards, projector screens and advanced communication facilities to host lectures, seminars, workshops, and conferences encourage experiential learning for the students.
Laboratories are equipped with modern instruments, technology and equipment’s that provide controlled conditions in which scientific or technological research, experiments, and measurement can be performed.
Our infrastructure also includes state-of-the-art computer laboratories. The laboratories of the Information Technology Department are provided with advanced computers that are equipped with latest tools and advanced software.
We also have a Language laboratory that trains students to improve their communication skills. It has highly sophisticated audio-visual apparatus like projectors, headphones and stereo sound system to help students to improve their accent, syntax and phonetics.
