We serve our strong, supportive and welcoming local community. The building is listed Victorian and much of its original features remain. Noel Park Primary School opened on 1st September 2012 and is sponsored by Academies Enterprise Trust (AET). The Academy is committed to making the very best of its Academy status to significantly improve standards for all pupils and to improve the quality of teaching and learning.

We are a large, multi-cultural academy with 550+ pupils on roll from Nursery age to Year 6. Pupils thrive and show real enjoyment in being at Noel Park Primary School. In the words of one pupil, "Noel Park Primary School is a great school, and it's getting even better".

Noel Park Primary School aims to create an outstanding establishment which has a safe and secure environment that is also caring, stimulating and well-organised for the benefit of all staff and pupils alike".

"The academy will aim to ensure there are equal opportunities for all children for them to reach their full potential".

  • Having a well organised and balanced curriculum and very high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Providing additional support in a variety of ways for children who may need more help than others and those who need to be extended further.
  • Increasing global, cultural and religious awareness and valuing our community languages.
  • Building good relationships with pupils and their families in order for them to be involved in the life and development of the academy.
  • Valuing the diverse nature of our community and encouraging all of use to learn from each other.

Our top 3 Values are:

  • Excellence - The Best We Can Be
  • Equality
  • Respect

Children develop quickly in the early years and early years practitioners aim to do all they can to help children have the best possible start in life. Children have a right, spelled out in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, to provision which enables them to develop their personalities, talents, and abilities, irrespective of ethnicity, culture or religion, home language, family background, learning difficulties, disabilities or gender." EYFS 2012

At Noel Park Nursery, our aim is to understand and support each individual child's potential as they grow and develop. In order to do this, we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) 2012. The Foundation Stage was introduced as a distinct phase of education for children aged between 3 ‐ 5 years in September 2000 and use of the Curriculum Guidance became statutory in March 2002. From September 2008, this became known as the Early Years Foundation Stage and this has set the standards for learning, development and care for children from birth to 5 years.

The ways in which your child engages with other people and their environment through playing and exploring, active learning and creating and thinking critically, underpins learning and development across all areas and supports your child to remain an effective and motivated learner.

We want to be: "Outstanding in Attainment and Achievement, Outstanding in Teaching and Learning, Outstanding in Behaviour, Safety and Diversity, Outstanding in Leadership".

We have a strong commitment to equal opportunities and we aim to ensure that each child gets equal access to the curriculum and resources. Children with additional needs or disabilities are welcomed and we endeavour to support our children to achieve their best. We have partially adapted our building to accommodate children and their families with disabilities to ensure good access for wheelchair users on the ground floor especially for toilets and events.

We avoid stereotyping and encourage each child to develop a positive self-image and respect for others. We aim to share knowledge and experience of the rich variety of cultures in our school through multi-cultural curriculum and resources. We have children from all over the world with at least 40 different languages and several different faiths represented in our school.
