Welcome to North Beckton Primary School – the school where “We All Belong”. Thank you for taking the time to visit our website where you will find lots of useful information about our school. We are delighted to have all the children back learning in the school building after our recent lockdown closures. We are aware that this is a very difficult time for our children and families, so if you need any support with any challenges during the current pandemic, please call the school and ask to speak to Mrs Ojo who is our Deputy Head in charge of pastoral and family support.

North Beckton Primary School became part of The Tapscott Learning Trust. This is a trust based on partnership, ensuring the best possible quality education for our children and meeting the needs of our local community.

North Beckton Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and we expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

We are fully committed to ensuring that consistent effective safeguarding procedures are in place to support families, children and staff at our school.

North Beckton Primary School has a legal responsibility to inform Children’s Social Care of any child protection concern in relation to children who attend the school. In the majority of cases a child protection concern will be discussed initially with the parent/career and, if necessary, a referral will be made to Children’s Social Care. The school has a long-standing commitment to promoting e-safety in the school and increasingly when children are out of school.

More and more parents are becoming aware of the issues and ask for our advice or to be pointed in the right direction to find more information. This page aims to try and put some of that important information in one place.

At North Beckton, we support pupils learning in a variety of ways. Firstly, we have a cross-curricular approach which allows them to explore a topic in great depth and from a variety of angles. Secondly, we use the arts to underpin much of what the pupils learn as they are given opportunities to immerse themselves in a topic through the arts. The curriculum is extended and enhanced through themed weeks, after school clubs and activities, educational and residential visits, focused days and visits from outside agencies.

I went to North Beckton Primary School (NBPS) last year as a pupil in year 6. I joined in year 4 (this was in 2014) and ever since I joined the school, I never had a bad experience.

This school has amazing teachers. They keep a watch on children before and after school.
