Northway Primary and Nursery School

Welcome to Northway. We are really proud of our school. It is a happy and successful school, with a team of talented, hard-working and committed staff who are dedicated to doing the very best for your child.

We are equally proud of the wonderful young people in our school who impress us on a daily basis with their talent, involvement and commitment. The children are the key to the success of any school and we are delighted that our pupils are so well behaved, interested and motivated. They contribute greatly to school and bring it to life with their positive attitudes and enthusiasm.
The children and their learning are at the heart of everything we do.

We take great delight and pride in seeing and sharing in the growth and development of our pupils into Northway Learners- well rounded individuals ready for the next steps in their learning journey. High expectations, challenge and support delivered through a relevant and varied school curriculum supplemented by the many extra-curricular activities available are crucial to this.

We are proud recipients of the National Healthy Schools Award, Active Mark awarded by Sports England, Basic Skills Quality Mark, the Sing Up and Eco Schools awards. These national acknowledgements highlight the excellent impact the hard work and commitment of pupils, parents, staff has had on standards in these areas within our curriculum and extra curriculum provision.

The Northway Code continues to be central to life at Northway promoting a consistent approach towards behaviour and our attitudes towards one another.

It applies equally to all members of the school community before, after and during the school day, at Breakfast and After School Clubs, activities and school trips.

Here at Northway we believe in giving our children the opportunity to take part in different roles and clubs at school, to enable them to take up responsibilities for different aspects of the curriculum.
