We will be awarding a cash bursary of £750 per year to eligible full-time UK home undergraduate degree or foundation degree students who start their studies at NTU in 2020.
This bursary will be paid in each year of your course (except during any year-long work placement as part of a sandwich degree). Full terms and conditions will be made available on our website.
How do I apply?
There’s no separate application process to apply for an NTU Bursary. Your eligibility will be automatically assessed as long as you’ve applied and are eligible for a Tuition Fee Loan and a Maintenance Loan from your national Student Finance Service.
We should automatically receive confirmation of your eligibility provided that you haven’t withdrawn consent to share financial information with the University for the purposes of assessing bursary entitlement.
How will I know if I'm eligible?
If we award you a bursary, you’ll receive written confirmation from us.
You should receive your letter between September and November. Contact us or email us if you think you meet the bursary eligibility criteria, but haven’t received the letter by November.
This £750 cash award to supplement living costs will be paid to eligible students who:
NTU is one of the most sustainable universities in the world and we have been awarded Green Flags for our Brackenhurst and Clifton Campuses. We have approximately 27,000 students (HESA 2014 / 15) and have invested £350 million since 2003 across our three Campuses to create an inspiring learning environment.
We offer great employment prospects to students at all levels. 94% of our graduates and 95% of our postgraduates are employed or engaged in further study six months after leaving (according to DLHE undergraduate and postgraduate survey results 2014 / 15). We're committed to making a contribution to the world through our academic and research quality, and through our collaborations with our global partners. Find out more about our initiatives around the world, our commitment to creating an international experience for our students and staff, and how to work with us.
Our ambition as an internationally focused university is to nurture global citizenship, engage with the international research community, and attract talented students and staff from around the world.
The approaches we take to connecting globally are supported by a strategic network of international partners and are articulated around three pillars. We will grow our numbers of international students to stimulate a vibrant multinational learning community and diversify our income streams. We will further promote internationalisation in the curriculum and enhance opportunities for our students to acquire the international perspective needed to succeed in the global community. We will focus on building a strategic network of international partnerships with peer universities, businesses and civic authorities in selected territories.
