Job Summary
The Department of Psychology at the College of Science, National Taiwan University is inviting applications for faculty positions at all levels in the following areas:
- Industrial and organizational psychology
- Personality/Social psychology
- Clinical psychology
- Cognitive/perceptual psychology
- Developmental psychology (especially with a life-span perspective)
- Psychometrics
- Psychobiology/Behavioral neuroscience *Applicants with expertise in clinical or social/personality psychology preferred. Applicants (Ph.D. required, Post-doctoral training preferred) should indicate the area(s) applied. This department emphasizes both research and teaching. The appointee will be expected to teach in Mandarin or English at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. NTU's institutional predecessor was Taihoku Imperial University, founded in 1928 by the Japanese colonial administration. The first president was Shidehara Tan Tairaka Hiroshi. In 1945, the Republic of China won the war of resistance against Japan, and Taiwan was handed over to the Nationalist government of China. On November 15 of that year, Taihoku Imperial University was formally transferred to Chinese administration and renamed as National Taiwan University, with Dr. Tsung-lo Lo appointed as the first President.
