Job Summary
The role holder is responsible for driving the development and implementation of Organic strategic programs/initiatives plans and objectives, ensuring compliance with organizational policies, procedures and quality standards, creation of benchmark-leading standards for programs/initiatives. The role holder is also responsible for ensuring the development of dashboards and required reporting for management and other stakeholders. The role holder shall carry out his duties in accordance with the stipulated business policies.
Managerial Responsibilities
- Participates in the development and implementation of the Strategic Initiative Office plans, in line with the corporate objectives.
- Directs and manage the Organic Department mandate, providing leadership and facilitating work processes in order to achieve high performance standards.
- Manages and control changes in the Organic providing guidance and support, necessary for continuous improvement.
- Ensures compliance with organizational policies, procedures and quality standards in the Organic Department.
Core Responsibilities
- Prepares master plan for Organic strategic programs/initiatives delivery in coordination with related stakeholders.
- Acts as an advisor to all stakeholders across organization on implications of change and impact on programs/initiatives scope and schedule.
- Ensures all changes are approved by required authorities and reflected in strategic programs/initiatives milestones.
- Reviews and track progress of strategic programs/initiatives in order to ensure strategic programs/initiatives are completed within timeframe.
- Ensures timely communicate about the Organic strategic programs/initiatives plan and expected changes in order to keep informed all relevant stakeholders.
- Monitors work progress of on-going strategic programs/initiatives and ensure their activities are progressing per schedule.
- Ensures strategic programs/initiatives delivery as per the plan to meet the approved objectives by Organic Platform Committee.
- Ensures regular check to report on strategic programs/initiatives current state of affairs.
- Monitors capability gaps of in-house Organic platform strategic programs/initiatives and recommends changes to meet strategic imperatives (ongoing).
- Asses project status reviews, against timelines and budgets, and spots critical areas and recommends appropriate corrective actions to ensuring that objectives met and issues managed appropriately.
- Oversees overall initiatives stage gate process and ensures timely and efficient progress of initiatives in accordance with approved process standards within STC.
- Monitors queries on Organic strategic programs/initiatives data from the database as well as providing technical assistance in extracting reports and information from the database.
- Ensures development of portfolio communication/ change management/ strategy/ plans to ensure adaption of change and impact across different stakeholders.
- Oversees development of dashboards to support effective reporting.
- Ensures development of all necessary reports (monthly, annual statistical reports, quarterlyperformance reports etc.) to track progress against set objectives.
People Management Responsibilities
- Defines goals and key performance indicators for each member of the team and ensures effective application of the STC performance management process.
- Directs planning and selection of manpower in the Organic Department, in line with the business and operational plans.
- Ensures high level of employee engagement and capability development by providing on-going feedback and coaching team members within the Organic.
- Performs other responsibilities and tasks as directed by the the General Manager – Strategic Initiative Office in order to meet objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or equivalent
- Master’s degree in business administration, project management or equivalent is preferred
Years of Experience
A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
Nature of Experience
Prior experience in leading Organic Programs/Initiatives management at an organizational level based on business needs.
