At Percy Shurmer we have a dedicated, enthusiastic and talented team of staff. Everyone is committed to ensure that all children at Percy achieve their very best academically but also have access to wide-ranging opportunities that encourage aspiration. We have camping trips, visits to the seaside, curriculum days, outdoor learning and much more! Our Deaf Learning Base is an integral part of our school and all our pupils benefit from our inclusive environment. We were proud to be recognised a Centre of Excellence for Inclusion recently and enjoy sharing our good practice with other schools.

During this half term, Year Three received a top-secret note in their drama session from an invisible architect who had bought an island. He needed some ideas to build his dream city! In our drama sessions, we created buildings made of sweets, dragon caves and flying schools. We invented excellent transport such as teleporters and flying bananas. This song, written by Charlie, our Hippodrome Education Network teacher, is about how our city can be anything we want!
