Physical Education Coordinator

Job Summary

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Physical Education Coordinator, who will oversee and manage the PE curriculum, staff, and extracurricular physical activities in our school. This position requires a dynamic leader passionate about fitness, sports, and holistic student development. The coordinator will ensure that all PE programs meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and student engagement while fostering teamwork and wellness throughout the school community.​

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and support PE teachers ensuring consistency in teaching and program delivery.​
• Develop, implement, and monitor a comprehensive PE curriculum that promotes fitness, health education, and skill development.
• Coordinate sports schedules, tournaments, inter-school events, and extracurricular physical activities.
• Provide professional development and mentorship for PE teachers to enhance instructional quality.
• Oversee the maintenance and safety of sports facilities and equipment.
• Manage PE department budgets, equipment procurement, and resource allocation efficiently.​
• Collaborate with school leadership teams to integrate physical education into the broader educational experience.
• Design assessment frameworks to measure student progress and physical development.​
• Promote health, wellness, and active lifestyle initiatives within the school community.
• Act as liaison with external sports organizations, coaches, and vendors to create enriching experiences for students.

Qualifications and Skills

• Master’s degree in Physical Education or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in physical education teaching, with at least 2 years in a leadership or coordination role in UAE.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple teams and sites.
• Knowledge of curriculum development, event organization, and student-centered teaching strategies.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and mentoring skills.
• First Aid and Coaching certifications are an advantage.
