Planning Engineer

Job Summary

Wood is currently looking for a Planning Engineer to join our team in the UAE.

Responsibilities

• Provide project planning and progress reporting service to assigned offshore projects in accordance with the Client rules through all stages of the project life cycle.
• Ensure planning activities are properly aligned with scope and cost information to apply integrated project control approach.
• Make sure that planning reporting is accurate and fully reflects status of the assigned projects.
• Liaise closely with other project delivery areas: Project Management, Engineering & Design, Procurement, Fabrication and Construction.
• Act as planning matter expert for other project stakeholders.
• Provide projects input into Integrated Asset Plans.

Skills / Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent from an accredited university with minimum 8 years in execution of FEED / EPC contracts in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry.
• Must be experienced in the use of Project Planning and Costing Software / Applications.
• Must have experience in Primavera Project Plans.
• Must be familiar with planning and scheduling of activities, cost estimation, budgeting and cost control for all aspects of Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning of major oil / gas plants.
• Experience of working with multi-national and multi-cultural project teams is strongly preferred.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
