PMC Senior Process Engineer

Job Summary

Wood is currently recruiting for PMC Senior Process Engineer to strengthen our team in Dubai.

People

• Coaching and mentoring as delegated by the Lead Process Engineer.
• Supervision of graduate engineers or more junior engineers as delegated.
• Provision of performance feedback for delegated direct reports.

Process Ownership

• Adhere to and comply with relevant discipline specific procedures and provide continuous improvement feedback.
• Participate in discipline and project quality audits as required.

Subject Matter Expertise

• Demonstrates process technical competence and maintains continuous professional development.
• Provides discipline support to the business.
• Demonstrates awareness of relevant statutory requirements, regulations, standards and codes of practice, legislation changes, initiatives and industry technology developments.
• Provides discipline input relating to project scope definition, project execution and provides assistance during CTR preparation as delegated.

General

• Deputizes for Lead as required.
• Supports and supervises tasks delegated to direct reports.
• Executes assigned tasks and personal objectives.
• Management of third party suppliers in the execution of Engineering deliverables as delegated.

Skills / Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• MSc / MEng in Chemical Engineering, or equivalent professional qualification, or BSc / BEng with extensive relevant experience.
• Membership of a recognized professional institute will be an advantage.

Minimum Experience

• Minimum of 7 years experience in the oil and gas industry.
• Minimum of 5 years proven capability as a Senior Engineer in an engineering design consulting company.
• At least 12 months experience of site-based project work involving either field engineering, or construction, or commissioning,or operations, or maintenance.
• Previous experience of working in the Middle East will be an advantage.

Knowledge, skills and experience

• Experience with brownfield modification work scopes.
• Experience with upstream oil processing facilities.
• Experience with Sour Service Operations or Design will be an advantage.
• Experience in Concept and FEED project work will be an advantage.
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of process engineering design and simulations e.g. development of HMBs, process data sheets, PFDs, PIDs etc.
• Thorough awareness of relevant international codes and standards.
• Familiar with the typical software packages that are used for process engineering design and selection e.g. HYSYS, PIPESIM or equivalent etc.
• Experience in HAZOP, HAZID and SIL studies during the execution of process design deliverables.
