Job Summary

The procurement lead will be responsible for delivering results in regard to on-time performance, cost savings and quality. Achieving project objectives and expectations and compliance with established policies and procedures.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing the current supply chain market status.
  • Developing procurement strategies with work stream leads.
  • Assisting and compiling initial long and short lists of vendors/suppliers.
  • Running and managing the procurement process.
  • Understanding of procurement concepts, standards and practices as applied in the engineering and construction industry.
  • Delivering project processes and relationship expectations with suppliers, subcontractors, clients and the project team.
  • Being the focal point of contact for all matters relating to the acquisition of goods and services for a project during the proposal process.
  • Providing the necessary written, graphic, and pricing/cost information in support of the proposal process.
  • Providing preliminary risk assessment related to the procurement activities assumed by the proposed prime contract.
  • Assessing the mitigation of risk assumed by the proposed prime contract.
  • Participating in the development of programme and project execution plans.
  • Ensuring full compliance with the PMO s procurement policies and procedures
  • Maintaining the performance metrics to measure the performance of the programme with regard to cost savings, on time performance and quality of goods and services.
  • Assisting in the resolution of purchase order and disputes.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • 20+ years of experience in similar role and relevant projects.
  • Experience guiding the procurement, delivery and hand over of hotel projects.
  • Strong technical grounding in all aspects of procurement and project management.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Expertise in building and maintaining key client relationships.
  • Competency in using the Microsoft Office suite.

Qualifications

A relevant degree qualification.
