Applications are invited for a post of Professor/Full Professor of Architectural Design to be appointed at the level of Professor/Full Professor. Applicants will be operating at the level of Professor in a Top 200 ranked academic institution, and be at the forefront of architectural practice. Applicants will be committed to excellence, to the highest levels of achievement, and to the continued development of the discipline.
Applicants will have a distinctive and identifiable approach to design, in their use of specialised knowledge, specific design methods, application of technology, in their engagement with clients and with the public; all of which will align with the values and priorities of UCD. Applicants will be engaged in design research through publication and exhibition of creative work. They will possess excellent interpersonal skills, and a capacity and enthusiasm for working in an interdisciplinary context within the School, the College, and the wider academic community. Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines.
